Facebook Flotation

May 14th, 2012

Facebook will be floated on the Stock Exchange soon. This is what Mark Zuckerberg has to say about his extraordinary, social media baby
“Simply put: we don’t build services to make money; we make money to build better services,” wrote Zuckerberg in his letter to prospective shareholders. “And we think this is a good way to build something. These days I think more and more people want to use services from companies that believe in something beyond simply maximizing profits.”

Woke up to this e-mail this morning. If only all e-mails made me smile so much…

May 7th, 2012

Shwmae you fine people in Narberth. So as I sit here in front of my woodburner I had a question to ponder what to do…… You see I was wondering if 2 nights in the yurt would be at all feasible around or on rather the 18th of May. I ask this as it would be for a special occasion…….Birthday in fact, which doesn’t seem overtly special but when they live 800 miles away you just want to make it that little bit more special and well I have heard that it’s a hoot there and well I thought I would see if I could check it out. If you could let me know if this is at all possible I would be so grateful. If you could contact me via email as well my phone isn’t connected to my being 24 7 as the outside is a much better place to be without phones ringing. Best regards Zoe ‘If your knees aren’t green by the end of the day, then you ought to seriously re-examine you life……’

Quality Unearthed

May 2nd, 2012

A sense of achievement is necessary to grow, move forward. There is no happier feeling when something grows to fruitation. This is Tim Rees who has set up ‘Quality Unearthed’ which is, in our opinion, Wales’ premier glamping site. We are proud to be associated with Tim and Quality Unearthed. We know the hard work you have done to get you were you are.

Lets wait and see what random strangers have to say about your life when you pass

April 6th, 2012

This is Chris McCandless who donated his life savings to Oxfam, gave up modern day living to follow his dream and live a solitary existence in beautiful Alaska, back in 1992. In 2007, Sean Penn made an award winning film called ‘Into the Wild’ about Chris’ life. I have seen it, and it is excellent.

Unfortunately Chris died of starvation, in a wreck of a bus, leaving behind a tragic note calling for help and a lot pf unanswered questions. Unbeknown to Chris, there was a bridge a quarter mile from the wrecked bus which would have taking him safely across an unpasseable river for help,

Whilst we always believe you should follow your dreams, a little planning your way forward makes the best sense.

If you are going out into the wilds this Easter, please be careful out there. x x x
